MBA and Management Prospectus Guidelines (2026–27)
The Department of Business Management offers a two-year semester-based MBA programme. Starting in the 2026–27 academic year, the university is introducing a new specialisation in Retail Management. The faculty is also planning to launch BBA and BBA (Honours) programmes from 2026–27.
The MBA in Hospital & Health Care Management (HHCM) is offered in collaboration with Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration (AIHA), KIMS School of Health Care Management, and Department of Hospital Management (DET). Beginning in 2026–27, Renova Institute of Health Care Management and RVM Institute of Hospital Management have also been added as collaborative institutions. The university receives 32% of the fee for the MBA (HHCM) programme.
PG Programmes Structure and Admission Rules
Postgraduate programmes in M.A., M.Com., and M.Sc. are structured in semester mode across two academic years. Learners are allowed a maximum of four years to complete their degree. Each course carries 100 marks.

- Certificate Rule: No changes will be made to certificates regarding caste or date of birth during or after completion of the programme.
Learner Support Network and Practical Contact Hours
BRAOU operates a network of 180 Learner Support Centres (LSCs), including 23 Regional Centres and 20 PG Study Centres (14 offering the MBA programme). Dedicated centres exist for B.Ed, Special B.Ed, and 4 prison study centres located in Cherlapalli (Hyderabad), Kadapa, Rajahmundry, and Nellore.
Academic counseling and contact sessions are conducted on designated Sundays at study centres. Contact hours and practical rules include:
- UG 1st Year: 24 hours of contact sessions per semester for optional subjects.
- UG 3rd Year: 48 hours of contact sessions per course per semester.
- B.Sc. Laboratory Practicals: 24 hours per course per semester in Year 1, and 48 hours per optional subject per semester in Year 3 (totaling 192 hours over 6 semesters).
- Attendance Requirement: Attendance is optional for theoretical contact sessions, but a minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory for B.Sc. practical training to be eligible for examinations.
