BRAOU Student Login: Enrolment Number, ABC ID and DEB ID

BRAOU students log in to course material and semester portals using the last seven digits of their Admission Number along with OTP or Aadhaar details. Students admitted in 2024 or onwards must generate an Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC-ID) on abc.gov.in and a DEB-ID on deb.ugc.ac.in, then submit them to the university portal. Certificate and degree services require logging in with the full Admission Number and Date of Birth.

Course Material and Semester Portal Login

Students enrolled in UG (CBCS), MBA, BLISc, B.Ed (Special) semester programmes, and the Diploma in Psychological Counselling use the semester login portal to access digital course materials.

  1. Go to the semester course material student login page.
  2. Enter the last seven digits of your Admission Number in the ‘Admission No’ field.
  3. Choose to authenticate using OTP or select ‘Try with DOB & Aadhar’.
  4. Click on ‘Login / Proceed’.

Creation of Academic Bank of Credits (ABC-ID)

The ABC-ID is mandatory under UGC guidelines to transfer your marks and credits data directly to your DigiLocker account.

  1. Visit the Academic Bank of Credits portal at abc.gov.in.
  2. Click on ‘Select Student’ and then choose ‘Sign-Up’.
  3. Enter your mobile number to receive a One-Time Password (OTP).
  4. Select ‘Aadhar’ as the Identity Type, set Student identity, and click ‘Allow’.
  5. Select ‘New Admission’, search and choose ‘Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University’, select Admission Year 2024, and click ‘Submit’.
  6. Save your generated ABC-ID permanently for university records.

Creation and Submission of DEB-ID

Creating a Distance Education Bureau ID (DEB-ID) is mandatory for every learner admitted to BRAOU in the 2024 session or later.

  1. Visit the UGC DEB portal at deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDeBID.
  2. Enter your ABC-ID when prompted.
  3. Verify your name and Date of Birth as retrieved from Aadhaar, then enter your mobile number and email address to generate the DEB-ID.
  4. Visit the BRAOU online submission portal at online.braou.ac.in and enter your generated DEB-ID to link it with your university record.

Student Services and Certificate Portal Login

Students applying for certificates such as Consolidated Marks Memo (CMM), Original Degree (OD), Transfer Certificate (TC), Migration, or Bonafide must access the student services portal.

  1. Open the BRAOU certificate services portal or the Original Degree registration page.
  2. Enter your complete Admission Number and Date of Birth as provided at the time of admission.
  3. Upload scanned JPG/JPEG files (under 300 KB each) of your SSC memo or TC, caste certificate, and qualifying exam memos.
  4. Select the required certificates, submit the application form, and pay the fee online or at AP/TS Online centres after receiving the verification SMS alert.
